Eek!! What was that?

Logfile from TwoMoons - Savith.

Llune sits back and watches the two, sipping her wine.

Larias sips once again at the tea, her shoulders slumping - whatever it was it has obviously left her tired and worn. A glance is given towards Savith, "Occasionally." Simple answer to a simple question.

Savith's face darkens as his arms fold across his chest. His upper lip twitches as he tries not the sneer openning at the infuriating elfess. Like chips of ice, his send drifts tightly from his mind, **That's hardly an answer...**

You locksend to Larias, Savith ends that with a tug at that bond between you and he, **...Larias.**

Larias's eyes lift to meet Savith's for only a second before once again looking down and away. She sips once more at the tea, finding the warm drink soothing. Again she shrugs, "It happens now and again, never more than once a day."

Llune continues to watch the two carefully, as she reaches for the wine skin, resisting the urge to speak - I'll be damned if I butt into everything they argue about - she thinks.

She refills her cup and sips it, watching as the two convers/argue.

NOrmally, Savith would have just nodded, and backed down, but with Larias starting to show nicely, Tsoran grinning coldly waiting for the slightly openning to do Tsoran-type things, and Winnowill itching for a reason to cripple him, he's not about to sit back if there's something wrong. Not being a healer himself, and fighting desperately not to run, as he did with the first two, Savith squares his shoulders and narrows his eyes. "Should I ask our Healer to see what it is," Savith asks coldly, voice dripping. We all know who the mountain's healer is, don't we?

Equally icy, though in her voice one can hear she is worn and tired, Larias responds, "If it becomes unbearable, -then- and only then will I seek the Winnowill out. For now, I, and the child are fine."

Llune 's eyes grow slightly - not noticeably - wider at the mention, knowing the not-so-healing things winny has done to help heal fellow elves, "I know a few elves that have borne before, perhaps they'd have some advice, so we wouldn't have to trouble our lord?"

Savith stares at Larias for several long seconds. High Ones, the urge to ring her neck gets stronger with EACH arguement! GAH! It's Llune's gentle question that makes Savith turns his head slightly, though his eyes remain on Larias. "Yes, that's a good idea, Mother," he replies. Turning, he's had about all he can take of this elfess for today. At least, not without good reason, so he asks Llune, "Did you need anything else?" You know, an excuse ot make him stay? Otherwise, he's certain he can find something better to do. Like go out and kill something.

Llune smiles softly, her best 'calm-down-savith-or-you-know-I'll-give-a-long-mushy-lecture-about-loving-other-things smile, "But darling, you visited me, to drop off your mending... did *you* need anything else?"

If these were an anime, Savith's head would get that cute little teardrop, and his cheeks would turn blue, then there'd be some funny drawing of a pig or something, and he'd fall over. But, this isn't an anime, so instead, the elf almost seems to flinch. Yeah, he did come to visit. Umm... Is there anything else he needs? Ummm... eeerrr... that is to say... that... umm... Well... He really did just want to lament Larias's stubborn attitude and see if Llune could take some sense into her and stuff, cause she's being a pain and does nothing but argue and.... GAH! Why did SHE have to be here? Finally, he turns to look at the door, "..... I guess not." Troll guts.

Llune turns to Larias, "Are you feeling well? Perhaps you should return with Savith to his quarters to rest? Or would you like to rest in my room?"

Larias lifts her eyes to look at Llune as she inquires about where she would like to rest. The elfess sighs, glancing at Savith briefly, then back to Llune, "I'm fine now thank you." Oh how she would like to go back to Savith's quarters, really they are the best in the Mountain so far as she is concerned, but, she'll end up fighting with him won't she? "No.. no I don't think that would be a good idea, I'll find someplace comfortable when I am ready to rest, though I appreciate the offer to stay here."

The refusal is for the best. Hands almost clenching to fists, Savith just turns and makes his way to the door, lifting from the ground to he doesn't stalk or stomp or anything. Besides, it gives him something else to concentrate on, as minimal as it may be for him now.

Llune nods, "Savith, if you would like to dine this evening, my apprentices should have your mending finished, and I would so *adore* your company..." she says, turning to him and glowing with a bright smile, "Or I could bring your mending by tomorrow morning..."

Savith stops midflight. Great. Mom wants him to stay. He ALMOST heaves a sigh, as he turns and moves back to the table. GAH! That smile! Bad Mommy! No fair smiling at a time like this! "Whichever you think is better timing, Mother. I'm certain your apprentices have greater projects than some siple tears and patches to do." He drops ot he gorund lightly, making his way back over to the table. Deep breaths, kiddo. That's it. Deep breaths.

Savith stops midflight. Great. Mom wants him to come back. GAH! That smile! Bad Mommy! No fair smiling at a time like this! "Whichever you think is better timing, Mother. I'm certain your apprentices have greater projects than some siple tears and patches to do." Well, it's not until later, and maybe Larias

Savith stops midflight. Great. Mom wants him to come back. GAH! That smile! Bad Mommy! No fair smiling at a time like this! "Whichever you think is better timing, Mother. I'm certain your apprentices have greater projects than some siple tears and patches to do." Well, it's not until later, and maybe Larias'll be elsewhere. But that thought sets him to worrying about. Elsewhere where Tsoran could get a hold of her. You know, maybe she should have just kept the bird and stayed with the underworlders. *grump*

Larias carefully pushes herself up into a standing position, once more looking between Savith and Llune. "If you both will excuse me?" A pause, though she was actually hoping to talk with Llune about -him-, "I have something I need to attend to." Like what is the question? But really, what a good girl, leaving so Mommy and son can chat.

Llune stands and moves to embrace Savith with a "good-bye, then, for now" on her lips.

Savith rolls his eyes at Larias, stopping to let his mother have her hug. "Honestly, Larias. I just came to drop off mending. You and Llune were obviously in the middle of something." He smirks, "Don't let me have interrupted it completely."

Llune turns to the now mobile Larias, "But Larias, darling, we *haven't* finished! Please stay, but a few moments more?"

Larias turns her eyes fully upon Savith, "I am learning, I have all the time in the world with which to finish conversations that haven't yet begun. You can't interrupt what hadn't yet started," eyes turn to Llune, "And the measuring was finished yes?"

Savith steps back from his mother, a 'see-what-I-mean!' look in his eye. "Certainly Mother will see you measured for much more than just a simple dress, Larias. Stay. I've a child to train anyway." And, Llune promised to talk to him at dinner. So there!

"Fine then..." defeated, and deflated, Larias heaves a sigh. Her eyes close briefly, really, she doesn't set out to irritate him at every word, it just, happens. She remains standing near the stool she had been sitting upon, venturing small talk, "So.. how goes the training of Volek?"

Llune shuffles about to the side, retreiving the tapes to measure Larias with, but listening very closely, so as to be able to throw in positive, calming comments.

Small talk? After all that trouble! Savith's upper lip twitches, threating to sneer. "It goes, as ever," he replies flatly. Fine, we'll play this game, dancing on the edge of terse tempers while not really getting to the root of the issue.

With such an enthusiastic response to her inquiry, Larias nods, her expression fading to a blank look, "I suppose thats good then." Really, she's trying, but its sooo hard, and no cooperation from him either ;p

Llune pipes up, "He seems to be a fine boy, surely he has a more intriguing personality than 'as ever'... Does he know any games? Or jokes?"

Savith quirks a brow at Llune. Always able to get him to talk, this time is little exception, and Savith just shurgs. "We play a few games," he replies, "Mostly geared as training excersizes." Like Catch-A-Chosen! Larias KNOWS that game, first hand. Doncha, Lari! heeheehee....

Llune nods, somberly, "That sounds like fun, doesn't it Larias?"

Llune turns to Larias and smiles, trying her best to encourage kind interaction between the two.

Larias's lips nearly threaten to lift, just the tiniest bit at the corners. Yes, she knows that game quite well, having caught a few in one fashion or another during her short stint allied with the Mountain. She moves as she's directed by Llune so the measuring process can be completed, "I don't know how fun it is, but its is excellent game for specializing skills. I don't suppose Volek has managed to catch you yet, has he?" Savith is, after all, one of the better flyers in the Mountain, and Volek, just learning to extend his abilities.

Llune measures around Larias' ankles, trying desperately to wipe the joyful smile from her face and remain somber, "Yay! They're talking!" she's thinking.

That wasn't a chortle! Nope! Nor was that a faint half-grin! It was all your imagination! Ah, but Savith did chortle in his throat, and nearly grin. "No, he has yet to catch up to me," he replies, tilting his head faintly to blandly regard the measuring process. "But I meant Winddance's favorite, for I spend equal time on birdback with the boy." Is he trying to rile things up again, mentioning hte outdoors again? Maybe not intentionally. He was just being honest. Glancing at Larias, he whistles the scoop-with-talon then grab with beak, and flip up command. "I'm certain you remember that one?"

Larias's cheeks turn a light shade of pink, ahh yes indeed she certainly recalls that one, now at least. And though yes, the thought of going Outside is an enticing one, being tired, sore, and with child, its just not quite as enticing as it usually is. Just the barest hint of amusement enters her voice as she speaks, "I hope he fared better than I did for his first try? Or.. did you demonstrate what to do first?"

Savith nods, seeming to lean against an invisible wall, "Yes, I showed him it's use: to prevent a fallen rider to plummet too far. In case the rider, for whatever reason, can not fly to safety." He purses his lips, "My bond, in particular, is trained to return home should the elf in her talons remain limp. Without feeling motion, she'll not try to toss to the harness."

Llune marks the measuring tape and pretends to continue measuring, though she's actually finished - just to keep them talking nicely...

"Yes.. I think I recall your bond being trained as such though.." Larias's voice tapers off hardly audible though her mouth still moves, her face paling out rather abruptly. She sways forward once, back again, then forward again - until finally, her eyes roll up into the back of her head. Look out below, cause this ones going down!

Savith reacts quickly, as a Chosen is trained to, simulatneously reaching with himself and magic to catch Larias. Only a few moments before he was ready to yell and scream and throw things at her, then he was calm, and actually almost chuckling, and now, he's worried, all over again! True to his calling, Savith flies fast and hard to get to his Recognized's side and scoop her from falling.

Llune gasps and cushions Larias' fall with her own body, "Oh!"

Savith lifts Larias up off Llune, a faint grunt escaping him. He's never carried a pregnant elfess before! He never thought they'd be so HEAVY! Shifting the weight in his arms, he glances toward Llune's private rooms, "Do you hae a place I can lay her down?" His voice, so cold and emotionless before, is alive with concern.

No sooner does she land on Llune, with Savith scooping her up, pale eyes flutter open. A weak bemused and slightly embarassed smile forces its way onto her face, "ooo.. ah. That wasn't very much fun."

Llune stands up, nodding as she inspects her slightly scraped palms

Llune says "Are you all right?" She leads them into her quarters, "Here.."

Savith takes to the air, finding it much easier than walking right now. As blue yes flutter open, he glances down. Though his face he pulls into a hard mask, his eyes and of course, that bond, gives him away - worry and concern. "High Ones, Larias," he breathes, but doesn't let her go just yet. "What happened? Here, lay down. Do you need water?" Okay, maybe the concern is just a bit too apparent....

Like anyone in the arms of someone they trust, even if she is mad at him most of the time, Larias curls against him taking what comfort she can from his close presence - the lsack of arguing is just an added bonus. A languid nod is given Llune, "Yes.. yes I'm fine I think." Her nose wrinkles as blood rushes back to her legs giving an oh so wonder pins and needle feeling from her waist down. She slowly responds to Savith as well, "My legs went lumb, and everything went dark..." She licks her lips, trying to wet them, finding her mouth dry, "Water.. yes, Water would be good." Ok, so she's a little out of it, but hey, what can you expect

Llune's quarters are dark, but upon entering she lights a candle and the room is bathed in a soft warm glow. The walls are covered in thick, soft furs, in most pristine shades of white. The floor is bare, painted with odd shapes in different colors. The ceiling is black, and dotted with tiny silver and gold specks. To the left of the doorway is a long closet-like box, the top of it reaching to about shoulder height. It is topped with a collection of paintings and pretty rocks and dried flowers. To the right of the door is a table and Llune's harp, and in the right corner, behind a screen of woven reeds and feathers, is Llune's soft bed, merely a large pillow filled with feathers. She's already pouring a fresh cup of water, , "I have it," she says, and moves to them.

Savith flies over, his charge carryed in his arms like a precious jewel, a delicate eggshell made of glass that would crack and shatter at the slightest pressure. Yet, there's an almost impreceptable tightening of his arms, protective, in a way. Reaching the feather pillow, Savith drops to the bed, lowering himself to set Larias downjust as light as a feather on a stray breeze. Never taking his eyes from Larias, he reaches out for the water, a muttered thanks to his mother, as his brows draw together. Once again, he rambles questions, "Why, though? Is something wrong? Does this happen often? I can't think of anything like this happening..."

Llune hands off the water, and sits, limply, behind Savith, lips pressed together, noting every movement in case of more problems. A clanking in the work room tells her the the apprentices are back, good, they can be sent for Winny, *if* necessary.

The color begins to return to cheeks, along with a healthy shade of pink. Larias speaks slowly, obviously choosing her words carefully, "I don't know why," a hand moves to touch her belly, yup, still moving, "And nothing feels wrong, it .. I just, stopped." A frown forms, "Its not happened before, maybe I should have eaten more.. or had some water earlier."

Pre-Birthing Plans

Logfile from TwoMoons - Savith.

Laris sits upon a cushioned stool, her arm stretched out to her side as Llune measures the distance from the tip of her middle finger and the curve of her neck. There is a small fireplace at the back corner with a kettle of water boiling over it, and, along the wall opposite the door, a large window that looks out for many miles. It's mid morning, and Llune has sent her apprentices out to lunch, and set out a plate of cheese and grapes to tide finiky Larias over. The room is bright and decorated sparsely with spools of different fabrics, a multitude of feathers, carefully hung on twine. Along one wall are a few tables, one occupied with 2 sewing machines, or scissors and fabric, or stacks of paperwork. Llune releases Larias' arm and stands in front of her, "I'm going to need you to stand up, dear."

Since her argument with Savith, she's been even more moody than usual. So, Larias rises from the cushioned seat with a grumbling sigh, "I suppose if I must." Really, you'd think the effort would kill her by the tone in her voice and the sluggish way she makes to move.

[OOC] Llune says, "Er, minus the machines."

Llune allows her to stand as slowly as she likes, not fazed at all by her negative attitude. "Stand up straight, dear, I've got to do your waist."

Larias fidgets with her hair, still unused to having it down all the time. She straightens her shoulders, locks her knees and stands rigidly straight up and down. Her voice holding the tone of mild irritation at the world, "This isn't going to take to long is it?" Oh yes, really - she has sooo many things to do.

Llune smiles, "No dear, please relax. The clothes reflet the nature of the subject."

Llune reaches around fussy Larias, measures her girth, "My, my, dear, you are surely growing fast!" She marks the measuring string and lets go, moving to Larias' side and measuring her from the crook of her armpit to the floor, "Have you had any more luck eating?" she asks, motioning toward the plate of cheese and grapes on the table as she marks the string.

Larias smirks, looking towards the ceiling as if it may somehow aide her. Giving a shake of her head she replies, "I've eaten my fill for the day really. I've not much of an appetite of late." She fidhets now and again, shifting her weight from one foot to another, "And yes.. I know I've grown." Not that she seems to really care for the ordeal.

Llune Observes Larias from the side, "You know, it takes two souls to recognize - this child is yours, too."

Larias hrmphs, turning her head to smirk at Llune. "This child is his as well." Of course it is, why else would she be in the Mountain? She drops one arm, letting her hand move to rub at her stomach slowly, "But in the end, it will belong to neither of us, if all plays as your Lord wishes."

It's then that a shadow floats into the the chambers. Heedless of annoucing his arrival, Savith moves in, "Mother, I've brought some uniforms and shirts of mine that need men...ding." His voice trails off as he settles to the ground, eyes on Larias, "Oh. I didn't realize you had company." Odd, isn't it? How the mere sight of this elfess can turn his tone from mostly gentle and warm to flat and toneless.

Already stiff as a board, Larias actually manages to tense up even more at the mere sound of Savith's voice. It takes all her concentration to remain standing where she is, not to look in his direction, not to say something. Ahh, now she's the perfect mannequin, really.

Llune looks up from measuring Larias' height, "Well, dear, I do work... You can lay the mending on that table," She nods, "And would you be a darling and fetch the skin hanging beside my wardrobe in my quarters," she motions again, this time toward the doorway to her personal area, "We're nearly finished, and a touch of wine will do me nicely." She turns to Larias, "I have tea brewing, and it should be done, if you'd like some." She marks the last measurment on her measuring string and stands, moving toward the fireplace containing the fragrant tea.

Llune , noting Larias' statue-like demeanor waves her hand non-chalantly, "Sit down, deat, you're done."

Savith glances from Larias to Llune, then back to Larias again. A faint nod, a soft "Yes, Mother." and he flies to the work table to set the black and grey uniforms down before lifting off toward the wineskin. He blanks his mind, as he would while on guard duty before Lord Winnowill, unwilling to let Larias pluck those wonderful surface thoughts and emotions from him.

Ahh, what a good glider Larias can be when someone else is the boos! She takes a seat as Llune directs her to. Movements stiff, hand resting on her stomach. Her voice is as bland as she can make it, "Tea would be fine Llune, thank you for thinking of such." Ahh, what a pair she and Savith make, irritants to one another

Llune carefully lifts the kettle from over the hot coals and pours it into a pair of carved stone cups.

Savith flies back toward the ladies, and lands at his mother's side, setting the wineskin down on the table by the cups. "Is there anything else you need," he asks, only too happy to make a hasty retreat.

Llune takes the wine, "No dear..." she fills a third cup, "Would you like some wine?"

She'd be damned before she would ask Savith for anything else right now, and the set to her jaw, the look in Larias' eyes says just that. But life never really lets one be as snotty as they'd like to does it? SHe gasps and merps, the sways a bit on her seat, one hand on her stomach, the other gripping the edge of the chushioned seat until her knuckles turn white.

Savith gasps lightly, eyes widening. His head turns toward Larias, brows drawing up in worry as he tries to answer his mother, "Ah... no, thank you."

Llune notes Savith's gaze and sudden change in demeanor an dturns quickly toward Larias, Skin still in hand.

Larias merely sits there, her eyes shut tight, one hand gripping the cushioned seat tightly, as the other holds her rounding belly. She wets her lips, breathing shallowly, nope, not gunna speak a word.

And in his experience, this is when other tribe members would shove past him to see to the soon-to-be-mother. Savith takes a step away.

Llune says "Are you all right?"

But here, there are no 'other' tribesmembers to rush in, and even fewer that would actually want to deal with Larias on a face to face basis. So she sits there, alone. In-between slow, concentrated breaths, Larias responds, "I'll be fine.. it'll pass in a few... moments."

Savith glances at his mother, then holds his ground and asks, "Is there anything that you need?" A healer? No, bad Chosen! No nookie!

Llune nods and turns back to the tea, taking one cup and setting it beside Larias.

Breathing slowly, her grip eventually loosens, until she holds onto her seat no longer. Pale eyes open, looking somewhat pained, but she doesn't ask for help, instead grabbing for the tea. She takes a sip, then answers Savith's question, "I don't need anything." with just the barest hint of emotion in her voice, "Thank you though for asking."

Savith can't shakes the feeling that was bad. His eyes narrow, "That happen often?"

Marriage Councelling

Logfile from TwoMoons - Savith.

Savith's Chambers(#4706RJLh)

A feeling of magic resonates about the chamber, a shapers touch having recently graced the room. A stone chandelier is centered on the ceiling, several candles set to burn and illuminate the room. Hanging from the chandelier are several small pieces of metal, polished so as to brightly reflect the light from the candles above. A patchwork ravvit fur ground covering is on the floor, colors ranging from tawny blonde, to golden, to a rich deep brown. Around the fur covering, are several large sitting pillows, each one matchnig one of the shades in the center pillow, one which is made of roe deer skin, a soft brown, striped faintly with gold.

Along one wall a stone table has been erected as has a bench, a pitcher and tray set out, though both are commonly empty. Hung against the far wall of the room, is a circular decoration. It appears to be made entirely of leather and ravvit fur, soft browns , again with a touch of gold. Within the circle, strands of sinew create a webbed pattern, in which small beads made of bone are tied. From these beads, strings of leather fall, almost brushing the floor, the ends tipped in more beads, feathers, and fur. Two wall sconces shaped to either side, illuminate the strange piece of art work.

One small corner of the room has been curtained off from the rest, the curtain matching the color scheme of golds, yellows and browns, with fine needlework decorating the light weight leather. Images of great hawks, wolves, ravvits and a myriad of other creatures has been embroidered onto the piece. A small corner of the bed and platform peeks out from behind the curtain, covered in new blankets and pillows, again the coloring the natural golds and browns of doe skin, set to match the rest of the room.

All in all, this Chosen's room has come to resemble a wolfriders den more than a chamber of the Mountain.

Savith's been working Volek hard, his only real duty aside from hunting, is seeing that the youth is trained, his powers growing, and obidence taught. Savith's moods have been up and down lately, and the strictness of his lessons reflecting that. For now, the Chosen takes a moment's rest after breakfast before he again takes the youth out on birdback for training.

Volek sits in his chair. He is quiet as he usually is durring breakfast, taking his time to think. But He's oddly quiet and seperated, save for the focus he gives his training. His already well built body reflects the intensity of his training, as well as his deep, guarding eyes.

Just outside the entrance to Savith's chambers, footsteps can be heard. The flap moves slightly, followed by Larias inquiring softly, "May I come in?"

Savith keeps an eye on his pupil, watching him with faint subtle glances. Savith's room has been decorated since he was pinned to a wall, and Larias is often found here. The Chosen has learned not to interrupt the lad's thoughts, and today is no different. Savith has been his best to keep the knowledge of his Recognition from Volek, not wanting the news to preoccupy the child. Instead, he sips the water in his goblet. Odd, that Savith, of all elves, would have pitchers of water instead of wine. He glances up at the voice, and replies just aloud enough to be heard, "You may."

Volek barley moves and turns to nod to Larias. He takes a sip of his drink, most probably water, and closes his eyes.

Larias's new dress flows as she takes the few steps needed to enter the chamber, the fabric sweeping the floor as she comes to an abrupt halt when she notices Volek's presence. A hand goes to her slightly rounding stomach, blue eyes looking to Savith, "If I am interrupting a lesson, I can go."

Savith shakes his head lightly, "You are not, Larias. We have yet to begin." He faint smirk, "You may join us, if you like." His eyes flick to Volek, judging to see how long he takes to pick up all the details here.

Volek takes another sip from his cup and his eyes sweep the room slowly. His gaze focuses on nothing it seems till he pulls his gaze back around to Savith, returning the look.

Volek smirks as he sends something to his teacher

Volek locksends ** I guess this means i must be on my best, eh? **

You locksend ** And why would you say that, Volek? ** to Volek.

Larias looks between student and teacher. Her eyes drop to the ground though she moves to take a seat on the shaped bench by the table, for the moment, remaining quiet.

Savith glances at Larias, having a private conversation with Volek. The tray of breakfast, still having some food left, seems to slide toward her of its own avail, "Hungry, Larias?"

Volek locksends ** Well, It's vary rare that others join us on our training, right? **

Volek smiles a little more as he picks the cup up and takes another sip from it.

You locksend ** True enough, so, yes, you should be on your best.** There's a pause, and he seem to tap at your mind, **So... going to offer her a drink? ** to Volek.

Volek locksends ** I did not think it was mine to offer **

You locksend to Volek, Savith snickers, **You can ask, child. You can always ask.**

A faint smirk flickers on Savith's features.

Volek me takes another sip of his.

Larias selects one of the smaller pieces of fruit from Savith's tray when it moves over towards her. Eyes now and again flickering between the Volek and Savith. Finally she speaks aloud, "I suppose I managed to kill conversation once again."

Savith grins, "Hardly." His eyes settle on Volek, "Just wondering when he's going ot offer you a drink."

Volek nods to Savith and then turns to Larias. His gaze flicks back to Savith, though it is unreadable. He realizes that he wasn't particularly given a choice. He raises his hand and leans forward to pick up another goblet. "May I get you something to drink then?"

There is a soft scuffling outside the door, and the hanging is moved back every so slightly. The familiar (?) voice of Llune softly calls, "Hello?"

Larias glances almost disapprovingly at Savith, thugh she refrains from saying anything to him. To Volek she smiles weakly and nods, "If there is enough water left for a third, I would appreciate some certainly."

Llune waits outside the doorway, never feeling completely comfortable entering another's quarters without permission - even Savith'.

Savith glance up at the door, then takes a breath as the voice is heard. With a tone too friendly, replies, "Come in, MOther. We're just having breakfast." Oy vay!

Volek nods and smiles to Larias, giving her goblet a bit of water. He looks up to Llune and offers her a nod in greeting

Llune steps into the room, "Oh, you have company, shall I return another time, my son?"

Savith shakes his head and moves over himself to give Llune room, "Certainly not. Please, there may be just enough for you, after Larias has finished eating, if you are hungry."

Larias takes the goblet of water from Volek, sipping, then drinking deeply - ahh, sweet sweet water! She glances up as Llune enters, offering the other glider maid a nod, "Good morning Llune."

Volek sits back in his seat, his own goblet in hand. He drinks from the cup as he quietly watches the three

Llune smiles gently and seats herself beside Savith, "I am not hungry, but I will stay for the good company." She smiles pointedly at Larias, "Good morning, dear, how are you feeling?"

Savith sips at his water, sending to Volek as he listens to the women's conversation.

You locksend ** Do you think you'll be able to take a bondbird out, alone, for some fresh meat? ** to Volek.

Volek locksends ** Yes, I can. **

Larias shrugs once, nibbling now and again at the small piece of fruit she selected from the tray, "I am better than I was a few moon phases back..."

You locksend ** Will you need a spear? ** to Volek.

Volek sets his goblet down and floats out of his seat. The young glider looks as if he is almost to his 16th turn, though his temperment has always seemed to be beyond his years. He turnst to Savith and nods.

Llune nods, knowingly, though she has only been with other elfesses during their pregnancy, never been with child herself, "I am glad..." She turns now to Volek, "And who are you, little one?"

Savith nods toward the entrance, sending to Volek again before he answers Llune's question, "This is Volek, Rikia's son. You remember RIkia, don't you mother?"

Llune says "Why yes, I do - Hello Volek, your father and Savith were very close when they were younger..."

Volek nods to Llune pleasantly, "Hello." Without much other word, the lad floats from the room.

Larias remains quiet, eating the piece of fruit, nibbling really, and drinking her goblet of water.

Llune looks between the two, "So... I see you like your dress?"

Savith watches the lad go, then focuses on the conversation, sipping his drink lightly.

Larias can't help but to grin wide despite herself as she nos, looking to Llune, "Indeed. I am very pleased with it." The old glider pauses, "I haven't been given something so remarkable in turns upon turns."

Now it's Llune's turn to grin widely and blush, "It's not *that* remarkable... I know it's not the breeches you'd prefer, but I hope it'll do until I can finish them..."

Savith sips his water, keeping a tight mental lock on his ward, eyes unfocused.

"Actually, I think you were right to get me back in a dress again." Larias' smile fades slightly as she speaks, "Its more appropriate for the Mountain, and it is definitely much more comfortable."

Llune smiles at Larias, "I understand... Once you are free from child, I will make you comfortable breeches for your adventures..."

Savith's reaction? There isn't one. Nor has he pulled the goblet from his lips, his eyes still looking far off.

After a moment of thought she wonders aloud, "did you stop and find me some new colors last time you left the mountain?

Larias doesn't have much of a reaction to Llune's suggestions about her 'adventures'. As the she asks about colors, Larias does snap back to reality, shaking her head, "I'm afriad not.. We were.. sidetracked."

Llune nods, It's okay - don't know how well new colors would be received in the mountain, in any case.

Savith blinks very slowly.

Larias glances over at Savith, brows arching in form of a silent question. Though she continues her chat with Llune, "I suppose they probably wouldn't be well received. Reminders of what was left behind."

Llune notices Savith's silence, but likewise continues conversing with Larias, "Well, a bright color wouldn't match the decor here, anyway."

Savith's hand lowers to set the goblet on the table. He's moving in slow motion it seems.

You sense in a locksend, Larias dares chancing a send, through the link of souls, she locks on as tightly as she can to you keeping anyone listenning out, her sending is full of worry and concern, ** Savith? Whats wrong? ** Thinking to herself, High Ones, please let it be his strange and distant called, and not the Black Snake.

You locksend to Larias, Savith barely spares you a reply, his eyes seeing through eyes not his own, the sense of flight and feathers, and the thrill of the hunt in a heart not his own, **I am hun... Volek is hunting. I help...** He tappers off, again needed.

Larias's eyes remain on Savith, she pause sin conversation, then continues, only half aware of it, "Mmm, I suppose not. Perhaps, later I will have to get some dyes from RavenHolt and make something obnoxious so I can truly stand out."

Llune smiles at standing out, "You don't necessarily need wild colors to stand out - one can stand out just by being creative with what one has."

A soft tink, and the goblet is finaly set down. Savith blink slowly again. His eyes are unfocused.

Llune turns toward Savith, notes his odd appearance... "Is there... Anything... Wrong?"

Larias rises from where she is sitting, moving over towards Savith, a frown appearing. Her eyes flciker towards Llune, "I'm not sure.. it is either your Lord... or something may very well be."

She looks from one to the other, watching Larias watch Savith, watching Savith not move.

Savith does not reply, as if, he didn't hear his mother. THere's a slight dip of his chin, moving to a tilt of his head, and his lips press togher.

Llune stand nervously, staring at Savith, "Larias, what is wrong, do you know?"

Her voice is beginning to crack, she's beginning to panic.

Larias places a hand on Savith's shoulder, resisting the urge to shake the life back in to him. Llune's starting to panic, Larias is starting to panic - two fretful old glider gals - just what this room does not need, but has anyway.

Savith turns his head toward Larias, as if to acknowledge her presence, but his gaze doesn't fully meet hers. Instead, the Chosen almost grins, eyes narrowing a sliver.

Llune beings to pace about nervously, wringing her hands and murmuring quietly.

At Savith's nearly surprising/relieving movement, Llune almost leaps to his side, "Savith? Savith? Talk to me, my son!"

"Yes," Savith replies distantly, turning toward Llune slowly. The grin fades lightly, eyes almost starting to think about focusing.

Larias glances back at Llune, "Relax.. you'll not help him that way." She closes her eyes, preparing to send to him, but as she speaks, she opens her eyes, foregoing that method for a moment, instead, choosing to speak aloud, "Savith... You need to come back to yourself. Please."

Llune takes a breath - she didn't realize she'd been holding it - "Come back to us!" She looks helplessly at Larias, "Can you reach him?"

Savith takes a moment to close his eyes and open them, focused again. Hearing only his mother's quesiton he looks over, "Reach me? I'm fine. What is it? I'm busy."

Larias moves back away from Savith, irritably inquiring, "Busy with what? It was like you weren't even there.."

Llune SIghs deeply, nearly faints, and collapses, relieved, into a sitting position, "You worry me, child."

Savith sneers at Larias, "Making sure that child out there doesn't fall to his death!" The CHosen stands, his flashing, "Which he might very well do if I don't keep his mind linked with my own. Is that okay with-*" As Llune collapses, Savith looks over, "Oh, by Voll's rotting bones! I was just locksending!"

Llune shivers at Savith's anger, "I'm sorry, my son - If you would give us some warning, I think it would ward of panic...."

Llune *off

Llune sighs again and stands, "I apologize - I cannot help but fear for you, my son, you are in a dangerous employment."

Larias's pale blue eyes turn on Savith, a fire within them, "As your mother stated, you could have let us know. Its not the first time, as you might recall, you've gone quiet and still - though at least this time you weren't talking with someone that wasn't there." She moves towards the chamber's exit, pausing to look back and say something else, "If the teaching needs be done, then by all means do it. No one in this room needs to be watched over."

Llune sighs at the unharmonious couple, ah me!

Savith sneers again and is about to reply, but a send catches his attention, a send more urgent than bickering with a silly elfess. Eyes narrowing at Larias, he replies quickly, then brings up a hand tense.... Oooh. if only she's weren't expecting, he'd beat the elf-poo from her and toss her back in the Cage for Tsoran to play with. The dark thoughts clearly visible on his face.

Llune steps between the two, "Savith, I was just as frightened as she, if you must express your exasperation physically, do it to me."

Llune glares at him with a fire not oft seen in her peaceful eyes, "I do not think it is too much to ask for you to inform your guests that you will no longer be entertaining them."

Larias stands rooted to the spot, obviously catching the 'subtle' meaning of his look. Her own jaw sets, lips form a tight thin line. Instead of retreating like a smart elf would, she does a very Larias thing, and taunts him further, "Go ahead and do it Savith. Or I should I say, go ahead and try."

Savith stares daggers at Larias, but turns his head away slightly as he's sent too again. Distracted, he replies to Llune, "You were doing... a wonderful job of entertaining in my stead, Mother. What woul dI have added to that conversation?"

Larias smirks, turning back around, she exits in a rapid fashion, muttering and cursing under her breath.

Llune sighs, "Larias, as it is improper for him to disappear, it is improper for you to evoke punishment."

Larias catches Llune's statement as just as she's leaving, pausing to reply, her words still biting, now in a 'mood', "Haven't you heard Llune? I am improper. A traitor. Expect anything decent from me and you'll be disappointed."

Llune sighs again, "perhaps it's a position you fight to keep."

Savith finishes that round of sending, and looks at Larias. High ones. Mother's going ot insist he apologize, isn't she? A glance at Llune's stance, and it's clear. "My apologies... Larias. I will... avoid from sending to completely." There. Can he wash his mouth out now? The sneer he is stull unable to shake though. Gah! Larias is just asking for it, isn't she?

Llune smiles tenatively, "Now Larias, don't you feel you may have overreacted a bit? Savith has apologized..."

Larias smirks at Llune's simple statement, barely giving it a thought in her mood. And, when Savith apologizes, sneer in place, fire dances in her eyes, fueling her own anger, "His apologies are worthless." That said, she makes her exit.

Llune sighs at Larias' retreating footsteps, "You sure mated with a stubborn one, my son."

Savith grabs the goblet he was drinking from and flings it at Larias's retreating head. Either he's really agnry, gotten to be a bad shot, or he can't bring himself to hit her, for the goblet is high and clatters agani the stone above the archway, yelling curses at her that aren't so nice.

Savith's curses would make a Go-Back blush!

Llune steps to Savith's side and steadys him with a hand on his shoulder, "Are you done?"

Savith locksends again, dropping his head as a fist shakes, trying to stay calm for the child before he replies to his mother in a horse whisper, "I'm fine."

Llune cradles his shoulders in a affectionate half-hug, "I know, you always are. Even when you're not. If you need me, I am always here."

A dark little storm cloud seems to float over Savith's head as he fumes and tries to keep it down, "There are times when I honestly think she says those things just to annoy me."

"My own personal hell," he mutters.

Llune says "I would not doubt she does. You are not so kind to her, either."

Savith looks to Llune, green eyes troubled, "And how am I to be kind to /that/?" He shakes his head, "I've been nothing but kind to her in the past. I fought to reearn her trust, after all that I tortured her in the Cage."

Llune pats him softly, "nothing is easy, my son."

Savith sends again, his mind split at hte moment, trying to keep Volek aloft and a coheret conversation going with his mother. "Especially not with Larias." Hesays her name almost like a curse.

Llune says "Perhaps the two of you should break from each other for a bit - give time to release this... tension."

Savith sneers, "If only I could, but Tsoran, I know, waits in the shadows for my guard to slacken. He would try, I know it, and none of us would see it coming if he did."

Llune sighs, "I had not realized to constant danger..."

Llune says "Is there no way you could appeal to our Lord to forbid Tsoran's abuse?"

Savith closes his eyes, again sending. When it lets him he whispers, "Only now do I realize the torute she went through..." He laughs harshly, "What would I say Mother, that She would not consider treason, my mind weakened by this." He shakes his head again, "No Mother. I am in enough trouble already."

Llune sighs and stares at her feet, "Why do you defend her if you dispise her so deeply>

Savith turns his moss-green eyes on his mother. Eyes the exact shade of his real father, if he could remember who it was. "Because she carries a pure blooded child. A glider child. My child."

Llune sighs and nods, knowing that, despite her undying love for him, it was too late in his life - he had already turned hard. "I understand, my son."

Hard as stone. Just like his parents, some would say. Savith, who has been keeping as tight a mental link with Volek throughout, though he's been arguing with the two women in his life, lifts his chin as the lad reaches for him again. Savith sends more instructions, and turn his eyes to Llune, replying when he's able, "Do you...?" In the mood he's in, he nearly says it: childless one. But the Chosen bites his tongue, and trying to soften his gaze, his voice slightly, "I'm sorry Mother. It's been... a trying turn, with .... Larias."

Llune nods, "I know, darling. Please be patient - this, too, shall pass. I must go."

Savith sighs and nods, sitting back down to give Volek his full attention once more, replying first, "If you can talk some sense into her, I'd appriciate it. You seem to grate on her nerves far less than I."

Llune smiles, "I will see you soon, please, do not harbor ill feelings toward me."

Llune says "And yes, I'll do my best - she's due for a measuring at my work quarters, I'll speak with her then."

Savith shakes his head lightly, his eyes unfocusing again, "Never Mother. You, as always, have been a soft cloud in my life."

Llune says "I will see you soon, my dear."

Chit-Chatting with Mommy

How long does she stand outside the curtain to Savith's room, even she's not sure. But, Winddance was in the Aerie, and since evening has fallen, surely his duties are done now. With a fretful sigh, Larias moves the flap aside just enough so she can call into the room without disturbing the other Chosen, "Savith? Are you in?"

Savith glances up from his dinner. Indeed, duties are down, and the Chosen is merely relaxing, out of uniform. "I am," he replies, standing, "Come in."

Larias slips inside, her steps nearly silent on the stone floor. She halts by the entrance to the room, leaning against the stone. Eyes are drawn to the food and the faintest hint of a smile appears, "I hope I'm not interrupting. I, forgot the shawl to the dress."

Savith nods and floats from the table, moving to a shelf across the room. "No, you're interrupting," he lies politely, clearly having been in the middle of picking at his food. "Yes, I was planning on seeing it returned to you, but have yet to have the time."

Larias glances at the food once more, then at Savith, clearly not believing him. "I, should just collect my shawl and go then." Her eyes drop down, how does she swallow her pride and apologize without looking like a fool?

Savith gets the shawl and moves over, holding it out. He's silent, eyes hard as usual, as he stands before Larias, holding out the neatly folded bit of cloth.

Larias reaches out and takes the piece of fabric, her hand lingering near his briefly. Her head tilts upwards slightly, trying to strike the pose of a proud elf, though, looking in her eyes, the pride is missing from her soul, only the loneliness visible. A soft muttering is made, hardly loud enough to be heard, "I'm sorry.. didn't mean to upset you. Wasn't thinking."

Loneliness. No, this is not loneliness. This is a spat. Savith nods, "Apology accepted." He pauses a moment, his whole demeanor stiff and cold. He's not going to crack under her emotions this time. "Is there anything else..." The question lingers. He would normally have said her name, but that would be his undoing.

[Public] Mad? Me? Maddinagh says, "can anyone translate me this sentence into modern English?: Aftir twei yeer Farao seiy a dreem; he gesside that he stood on a flood, fro which seuene faire kiyn and ful fatte stieden, and weren fed in the places of mareis;"

Larias shakes her head, pale hair rustling softly as she does so. Voice still little more than a soft murmur, "No.. nothing else." She grips tightly to the shawl, then looks down, oh yes, that was her pretense for coming, wasn't it? Placing arms through the sleeves, she, "I'll leave you to finish your dinner."

Savith turns away without another comment, moving back toward his table and dinner. Almost as if an afterthought, he comments, "You're more than welcome to stay. If you like."

Mid-turn to leave, Larias stops, turning back once more leaning against the entryway. "I would like too." The question is, why? Her brows furrow, not even sure of the answer herself.

Savith sits and motions to the chair across from himself, "Then sit. Have you eaten?" His voice is flat, eyes preoccupied.

Larias moves towards the table rather slowly, her movements stiff. She shakes her head at the question, "No.. Not yet I haven't. I haven't really felt all that hungry today." Her selected seat today is the one furthest from him, giving him space.

Savith pushes the barely touched tray over, "Then eat." Either he lost his appetite, or he hasn't had one. Instead, he pours himself another glass of water.

Larias looks at the food tray, hand moving to selecting something, then withdrawing, moving to select another item, and once again, she pulls it back. "Perhaps later.. As I said, I'm not really all that hungry today."

Savith watches the indecision for long moment before taking a sip, "Seems I'm not the only one too preoccupied to eat today. What troubles you?"

Larias rolls her shoulders in a shrug, then lets them sag as she leans back, slouching so comfortable now. "Thoughts." A simple reply, and totally uninformative, "And you?"

"The same," he replies, just as uninformative. Seeing Larias get comfortable, he leans his elbows forward onto the table, peering into the goblet.

Larias slides down the seat, now fully looking lazy. She smirks then hrmphs. He may not press her, but she will him this time, "What sort of thoughts?"

Savith takes a sip before replying, "Those dreams. I've been trying to make sense of it all."

Well, at least he;s not mulling over what she is. Larias nods, eyes closing, trying to relax, failing miserably. "They're my memories, twisted though they may be by sleep... What of them?"

Savith purses his lips, "Memory. Then why was the room completely unrecognizable?" His brows furrow in thought.

"The Mountain has shifted and changed over time." Larias smiles weakly, "This is a tribe full of shapers. The same as I will never stop flying, they will never stop shaping."

Savith lifts his gaze to Larias, "Perhaps." He pauses a moment, then shakes his head lightly, "And your thoughts. ANything I should know about?"

The sullen young elf child, Savith walks into the chambers he shares with Llune. Wordlessly, the child drops to his bed, and folds his feet up under himself.

Llune looks up from her embroidery, a common before sleep practice, "Something wrong, Savith?"

Savith mutters, "Nooooo." Of course, that's a big fat lie.

Llune watches they young one with interest as he mopes, then arranges her project in the basket beside her. "Are you thirsty?"

Savith shurgs. Ah, the typical sullen teenager.

Llune says "Then come with me."

Savith gets to his feet without comment, though he presses that one rambuncious curl from his eyes. He can fly, you know, but yet he still shuffles his feet against the floor.

Llune turns and motions over her sholder for him to follow her as she lifts the door hanging

Savith follows Llune silently, that ever present frown on his features, aging him beyond his years.

The ascent is quiet, Llune occassionally looking over her shoulder and tossing a smile at Savith, him desperately ignoring her.

When they reach the last turn, Llune stops and tells Savith, "cover your eyes."

Savith looks up finally, and quirks a brow, "What?"

Llune smiles mysteriously, "You heard me, little one, this is a surprise too big to wrap."

Savith frowns and crosses his arms across his chest. "I'm not a child."

Llune smiles, "okay, but an elder would appreciate a surprise too large to wrap..."

Savith's brows twitch down, and the frown turns to a pout. Ah... flattery. After a moment, Savith closes his eyes.

Llune takes his hand and leads him slowly onto a non-shaped ledge on the sheer face of the side of Blue Mountain. The view is extensive, the sky enormous and filled with tiny, brightly twinkling stars. The moons glow brightly, the contrast between it and the darkness of the heavens magnifying it into an enormous, golden dewdrop.

Llune says "Open your eyes."

She watches for Savith's reaction to the exquisite scene before him.

Savith opens his eyes, and drops his jaw at the sight. The moons reflect in his green eyes. In all his young years, he hasn't seen anything like it more, Child Moon hugged protectively by Mother Moon as a dark shadow starts to creep across her backside. He shudders, and takes an invulntary step back.

Llune rests her hands on his shoulders and watches the process with him.

After just a few moments, the young elf, inflecting his own sad story on the moons above, turns to go, "I don't like it!"

The planet shades first one, then the other moon, a process taking only about an ...... Erp, nevermind.

Llune is a bit taken aback, but it's hardly noticeable when she asks, "Why? It's beautiful to me."

Savith floats from Llune, if she lets him, tears in his eyes, "It's scary!"

Llune lets him distance himself a few feet from her, "Sometimes, things that seems scary end up being wonderful...

Savith turns a pouting gaze at Llune. He should be far more mature than this, but turns without parents will do that to a lad. His brows draw up, "That doesn't make any sense!"

Llune says "Neither does thinking this is scary - what element of fear *is* there?"

Savith mulls over that a moment, turning to look at the lunar eclipse again. He shudders and floats back toward LLune, pointing, "Well... well, Mother moon! She's being... eaten by darkness!"

Llune smiles and places only *one* hand on his shoulder, keeping some breathing space between them, "watch - the darkness will cover her, and then continue moving past - it's like a purifying ceremony for the heavens.

Savith drops silent, watching in fascination. As the darkness approaches, he shudders more, retreating back into Llune's armas.

Llune allows him to take shelter against her, and squeezes his shoulders affectionately as he watches the darkness progress over the first, then the second moon.

Savith 's green eyes remain glued to the heavens above.

The process takes only a few minutes and the brief dimming of the heavens is replace by moons shining (it seemed) more brightly than before.

Savith gasps softly at it.

Llune smiles, understanding the awe of a first eclipse, "Now, aren't you glad you waited around for this gift to mature?"

Savith gets self-conscious about the nearness to this, still strange elfess, and he pulls away. "Ummm. yeah.."

Llune softly sighs, noting how Savith recreates the gulf between them. Confused, she asks, "Do you still think it scary?"

Savith hmmmmss and looks about for something else to talk about. "ahhh... well... Umm... thanks for hte shirt."

Llune smiles, glad he's at least attempting to be tolerant, "Do you really like it? I tried to make it soft but durable, and just the right shade for your eyes... ah... I'm sorry, I must be unforgivably boring..."

Savith looks away, "Hmm... Yes. it's nice." He floats a bit, trying to figure out what's next.

Llune says "So..." She struggles to find some kind of common ground with the young elf, "what have you been doing today?"

Savith shrugs. "Cleanned the nests," he replies, explaining the stains on that new shirt.

Llune smiles at the messy shirt, "I can fix that... Did you have fun, talk to any of the other elves?"

Savith shurgs, "Mmmm.. not really." Of course, who would talk to him, with that nasty attitude.

Sweet Dreams, Beloved

All in all, this Chosen's room has come to resemble a wolfriders den more than a chamber of the Mountain.

Savith glances up from cleaning his talonwhip. "Mother? Something I can... do for you?"

Llune sighs, a little flustered, "Well, my son, it is more something I can do for the two of you." She holds her hands out with the package, "As promised, a simple item."

She looks between the 2, wondering if she's intruding.

A bit on the odd side, Larias is sitting, quietly in Savith's room. She leans back against the wall, comfrtable to idle quietly as he cleans the talon whip, her eyes closed - it is safe in his room after all.

Savith sets the talonwhip done and motions his mother in, rising to meet her, "YOu've finished it, already?" Well of course she did! And she'll say the design was simple, just like what was said of Cutter's new outfit when the wolfriders first 'visited' Blue Mountain two centuries ago. On his feet he moves to take the package, "Should I open it, or Larias?"

Llune shrugs gently, "It doesn't matter," she stifles a giggle, "so long as you don't wear it, my dear!"

Larias opens her eyes slowly, was she *gasp* actually napping? "Hmm? Oh.. hello Llune." She blinks her pale eyes a few times, clearing sleep from them and her mind and body, "Open? Yes.. I suppose." Eh, whats going on here?

Savith chuckles, a faint grin on his face. A brief nod and he turns to hand the present over, "Then she should open it, I think." Even if he IS curious.

Llune smiles knowingly at Savith's curiosity. For all his etiquette, she still ses the little one she raised so long ago.

Savith was never little. It was all Llune's imagination.

Llune has a vivid imagination.... (open the present!!)

Larias rises slowly, moving from around the table to join the other pair in the more open space of Savith's chamber. She takes the object from Savith, one brow arched upwards in curiosity. "I.. did not expect anything so soon." But, she doesn't waste any more time, undoing the strings of the package, she tries to open it up, the dress coming to form as she does so.

Llune moves to pick up the additional pieces that fall from the folds, "I hope you like it..."

Llune watches the two view the dress, eyeing their faces for distaste...

Savith smiles lightly. Yup. It's another Llune-made item. Delicate. Understated. He tilts his head toward his mother, commenting, "It's very nice. The color should suit her well."

Llune smiles, pleased by Savith's approval - now for Larias' reaction, "I tried to make it simple, dear... I hope the embroidery was not too presumptuous?"

As she finds the shoulders, Larias holds the piece up, then against herself. Unable to stop herself, she smiles, tears springing into her eyes - how long has it been since a garment was made for her, not by her or not borrowed? Perhaps the highs and lows of pregnancy adding to her mood. She then moves the garment, fingering the embroidery of wolves, voice raspy with emotion as she states simply, "Its beautiful"

Savith almost actually smiles fully, both at Larias's reaction and the mirrored emotions her reaction forces to bubble to the surface within him. Trying to stay composed, Savith turns from the mothers to collect his talonwhip again. Dead puppies. Dead puppies. That's it! Nice evil thoughts! Not happy! DOn't be happy. Darn it! Harder than it sounds. He always hated this part of recognition.

Llune smiles and reaches out to pat Larias' shoulder, "I'm happy you like it. I thought the shawl might help against drafts, and the blue would help you to blend into the mountain." she says the last part with a wink, "I'll have some more for you soon - I'll have to measure for the breeches, but dresses such as this are simple... If you want anything a special color, please just let me know."

Larias doesn't even flinch from the pat on her shoulder. Her eyes lift to meet Llunes, "More?" The glider can't be serious, "I can make this one last... Really, this must have been trouble enough, and unexpected."

Llune shakes her head and squeezes Larias' shoulder affectionately, "Oh, no dear, you must not have been prepared for Savith's mother... You will surely have more clothes than you could ever use!"

Llune she smiles again and looks at Savith (who rolls his eyes even though she can't see him, "He knows what I mean."

Back to the ladies, Savith closes his eyes against Larias's head-spinning emotions. A hand braces himself against the table, as he tries not to get caught up in it. Evil thoughts. Evil thoughts. Chosen are sourfigs! Really they are!

Llune looks from one to the other, "I suppose I should leave you with this... revelation?"

Not when they're Recognized mate's are happy fluffy they aren't! Larias wipes away one of the tears threatening to roll down her cheek, "But... You, really don't have to."

Savith drops himself to a seat, turning his face from them, and resting the heel of his eyes to his eyes. Maybe, if he presses them in hard enough, the tears won't look so odd.

Llune smiles and pats her shoulder one last time, "My dear, I think you're unbridled emotion is making Savith a little... uncomfortable *whispers* he's not the gushing type...

She moves to Savith and drops a hand to his shoulder, "My son, I promise not to tell, please stop forcing yourself."

Savith's shoulders are nice and tense. He replies through clenched teeth, "I'm fine, Mother. Done this twice already, you know. Once more won't kill me."

Larias continues to hold the fine dress, unable at this moment to let it go. At Llune's words she looks to Savith, at his words she comments, "But neither of those times were to one like me." You know, one apt to cause enough problems, he'd wish he was dead sometimes.

Llune sighs and half hugs him, "Darling, things are usually a good deal easier when you do not resist them." she moves away, "But I know you will find your own way." She looks back to larias and offers a smile, "The more I see the two of you, the more I realize why you have recognized."

Llune she smiles one last time, looking over the room, "I should be going..."

Larias shakes her head as Llune prepares to leave, "You don't have to go if you don't want to." Llune makes a wonderful buffer between her and Savith, and weapon too, but hey, she's not in that sort of mood right now.

No, Larias is right. They weren't full elf. Larias is. Yeah, Savith would love to jump off a cliff. The problem is that there would be no sudden stop at the end. Savith, impolitely, does not stand as he mother makes clear her intention to leave the room, still trying not to feel yet not block out Larias. It was far easier to just sulk on a tree branch and feel than be so opennly scrutinized.

Llune smiles, "My dear, I fear my presence makes Savith feel a bit... exposed. I will be around, but now I think it may be best if I were to leave and allow the two of you some privacy."

Larias glances at Savith, then back to Llune, still choked up by the gift of the dres, "If you think its best.. I suppose." Aww come on Savi, please let her stay?

When he's about ready to grab his bird and go? Yeah right!

Savith takes a few gulping breaths to steady himself, and manages, "Thank you for stopping by Mother." Whoa... head swimming. Not good. Not good.

Llune says "I will be dropping by again soon," she looks pointedly at Larias, "Let me know how it fits, I'd love to see it on sometime.""

Larias nods to Llune, "Of course. I will come by very soon with it on." A smile, a genuine smile touching the gldiers face, "I promise."

Llune quietly departs.

Savith pants very slightly. Okay.. head's starting to setlle. Life should be fine soon. Really soon. Whew! That was close! He almost beamed happily for a moment!

Larias holds the garment up to her shoudler's again, an attempt to try it on without actually putting it on. Her smile is still there, the amazement, shock, and joy slowly fading. How could it be? A kind heart actually within the Mountain's walls. It doesn't make sense.

Savith takes an easy breath as the emotions fade from him, leaving behind memories of the previous two just as happy over something: a new wolffriend, a good hunt, whatever. He opens his eyes and presses the wetness away coldly, as if it were mud or dust. Alright! He'll be himself again.

Larias'a pale blue eyes lift up, looking over at Savith, though still wet from her own unbidden tears of joy, "Are.. you ok?" High Ones, the feelings were reeling from her, how did he fare?

Savith's replies as calmly and coldly as he can, "Fine." Especially now that her overwhleming joy is fading. And he though wolfriders had roller coaster emotions. "You going back to sleep?" How long had she been napping there anyway? Hours?

Larias had been there quite some time. She wasn't there when he left to perform his duties, but she was there when he returned, eyes shut, looking and feeling at peace for awhile. She shake sher head at his question, "No.. I don't think so. I should try this on." A light airy chuckle erupts, "I'm almost afriad to.. so much more delicate than anything I've worn in so long."

Savith nods and motions toward his bead area and the curtain, "Then change there." He moves to collect the talon whip again and busy himself with its cleaning. Almost himself again.

Larias nods only once, quickly moving on foot. The curtain falls and the sounds of clothing coming off is heard, a releived sigh audible as the too tight breechs come off finally - and for the last time to. Giddy at having a new garment, she sends the breechs flying out the curtain, "Burn those will you?"

Savith fliches at the giddiness, but reaches out to grap the breeches with his magic. He stands and looks baout. No fire place here. He'll take it to the kitchens later. With a flick of a wrist he hurls the dispised breeches to a far corner, "At my nest opportunity."

More rustling can be heard as Larias shimmies into the new gown. No, its not her preferred style of garb, but it will definitely work, and the wolves are just the sort of touch she would have made herself. Soon, lacings are done, bringing the garment to a suitable fit about her torso and slowly blossoming belly. Satisfied she's got it all on straight, minus the shawl, she pulls back the curtain and steps out.

Savith looks up from the disgarded trousers. When his gaze settles on Larias, his heart skips a beat or five. Like a high one she is, all gossimer and silks. Does his jaw drop? Yep. Do his eyes widen? Yep. By Voll, she's actually beautiful.

Looking down, she smoothes out the dress, or at least tries, one can not smooth away a rounding belly. A tug on the sleeves given, followed by a quick readjustment at the neckline before she actually looks up at Savith. Her eyes seeming a brighter shade of blue as they reflect the color of the dress. Blinking, confused, "Is.. Are you ok?"

Savith is silent for long moments before he shakes his head and turns away. Surely she can sense his heart pounding in his ears. "Yeah, just... the dress... fits you well." Yeah, that's a good way to say it. Okay, let's find a reason to see Larias revolting and everything will be just find!

Larias's cheeks grow warm as a blush springs to them, a compliment? Did he just pay her a compliment? "Llune worked wonders... I hadn't even been down to see her as of yet to be measured." She fidgets once more with the various ties, "Her design, one I'd not have thought of either."

No! It's was your imagination! Really it was! He moves to plop into his soft sitting cushions. "Yes, Llune's something else."

Larias looks only a tad uncomfortable, after all, she was just in a sea elf dress a turn or three ago. But that was before Savith truly had to matter in her life. A nervous swallow, eyes flitting to the room's exit, "You.. don't look well." A lie perhaps? "I, should let you rest."

"I'm fine," Savith replies, "Stay if you want. Tsoran is no doubt on the prowl." He leans back, dropping his head over the back of the cushions, eyes closed. He's fine really. Hopefully she didn't notice, huh? Yeah, that's it. She didn't norice. He takes a breath and exhales. See? Just fine.

Nearly she murmurs, 'its not Tsoran I worry about tonight'. Though the thought is there, she does not give it voice. Instead she speaks, "I think I now understand what you were syaing of your mother. She does indeed have a sense of garments."

Savith hmms softly, bringing a hand up to rub his temple. Ugh, still in uniform. Savith stands and moves toward the shelves where his own numberous garments are kept. "And whom else would you worry about," he asks, plucking the thought away as she so often does to him.

Larias glances at the garments in Savith's closet, yes, look at those and not him, though that doesn't keep her blush from spreading, puckernuts! She coughs once, "Ah... no one in particular." You you big fool, you're not acting yourself.

Savith grabs one at random and moves to step behind his curtain. He hmmms again. Just as Larias shuffled through clothes, Savith changes and steps out, flinging the uniform away. Considering the quickened heartbeat, a looser garment is best, no? "No one, hmm. Alright. If you want to stay here the night... I'll take the cushions. Dodia's out hunting." A Door must have let her out.

At the mention of Dodia's name, Larias closes her eyes, nodding once. "And if she should return?" A light faint smile, "I would not wish to cause her pain. I'm sure she worries enough as it is. Needless though that worry may be."

Savith moves to regain his seat, eyes settling on Larias. Ooops.. shouldn't have. Wow. A true elfess. He takes a moment to reply, "She's a grown elfess, and understands the closer your time draws, the more concern I'll feel.

In a Mountain full of elves, albeit many of them ones that don't necessarily care for her, why be alone if you don't have to? Didn't she spend enough turns alone, scared? The thoughts are shaken from her head as she relents all to easily, "I.. suppose." She finds some place to hover sit, fingers beginning to undo the long braid at her back. "If you're certain she won't be upset."

Savith's eyes don't leave Larias as he replies, "She'll understand. We are only lovemates, afterall." And begun that way under orders to boot. Finally turning, he moves the shelves again and grabs two blankets for himself which he takes to the seating area.

Larias frowns to herself, then shakes her head, "Let me take the cushions. This is your room after all." A hand is held up to ward off any arguments, "The cushions will be fine for me, more comfortable thana tree branch I'm sure."

Savith openned his mouth to argue, but is halted. He too shakes his head, "I insist. You are the one expecting, after all."

Larias moves to the seating area at that point, the dress flowing nicely as she does so, yes Llune definitely is a master of her skill. Carefully, skirt held so as not to damage it, Larias sits on the cushions, grinning defiantly, "Go ahead and try to move me then."

Challenging... a Chosen? Is that /really/ smart? Dropping the blankets, Savith extends a hand to float Larias up. Let's try the easy way first. "I shall. THe bed to you, lunatic," he replies, a faint smirk, teasing.

Larias leans way back, apparently getting comfortable, grinning all the while, "A bed of cushions? Why, thank you for agreeing with me for once Savith." Ahh yes, this is the life.

Savith's eyes narrow and he brings both hands up to try to lift Larias. Is she fighting him? Silly elfess! He's going to move you if he has to grab you physically.

Of course she's fighting him, though, the attempt is pathetic considering what he knows she is capable of. "Savith..." Larias gives the name a cautioning tone, "It won't hurt me to sleep on the cushions." Oh my, is she pleading, "I'm giving in and actually sleeping here, isn't that good enough?" Little beads of perspiration break out on her forehead, fighting just the tiniest bit costing her much energy.

Savith steps closer, eyes narrowed, "No, but if you roll and fall?" He shakes his head, now pushing with his gifts to haul Larias up into the air, "I'll not risk it. The bed you'll have. I'll deal with Dodia, should she anger about it."

Larias give sup, Savith's magic enveloping her as she sighs, "Fine.. But I dont have to like it!" So old, but still a petulent child at times. After a moment, a grin begins again, "Too bad, I'm not ready to sleep again."

Savith stops moving her, holding her aloft. "Not ready to..." He sighs, taking another step closer, "You'r impossible, Larias." Somehow, and trust me he's not sure how, but that hint of soul drips into that. Must be the magic connecting them.

Larias swallows hard, looking at anything but him, her smile wavering, turnig nervous, "Heh, thats me. Thought you figured that out long before now. Someone in the Mountain has to be, right?"

"Trust me," Savith replies, starting to settle Larias back to the cushions as he nears, "Mother is enough." Now, just which mother is the question, though now that he nears, he too shows the signs of the brief contest of wills, a faint glimmer of sweat on his brow.

As she's set back down, Larias breaths a sigh of relief, under the control of someone else not something she is used to, or thinks she cares for. Her eyes close, headache forming after the brief, half-hearted battle, "You're mother is not impossible." A smile encroaches, "I am impossible. I'll always do just what everyone wishes I don't do. Your job is to do as told, mine is the exact opposite."

Savith settles himself behind Larias, leangin on the cushion next to her. "Is that so," he asks, a grin sneaking up on him. "You're doing a fine job of /not/ staying near by for me to protect." Oh my! Will wonders never cease?! Was that a tease?

Larias leans her head back to look at Savith, eyeing him with more amusement than her expression shows, "Well, how can I truly torment and pester you if I'm not near you? Even Sprig made the trip for such worthwhile sport."

Savith regards Larias, with a very stern look. It lasts for about a full minute, before he drops his face to his hands! "Oh! That was insane!

Larias closes her eyes once more, ahh, lounging, something she only relearned how to do among the Raft Holt. "You have to admit, his tenacity was... admirable, if not utterly stupid."

Savith shaks his head, lifitng it again, "More than stupid, but yes, admirable." He drops his chin to an arm, "I wouldn't be surpised if that Little Bird put him up to it."

"Does it matter who put who up to what?" Larias asks as her hand moves to rest on her slightly swollen abdomen. A soft sigh, almost content, her voice changing tones, "How does it feel Savith? To finally win?"

Savith Hmms? "Win?" He turns his eyes to look at Larias, "What do you mean, win?"

"Finally, you got me i the Mountain. Staying of my own free will for who knows how long." Is the elder glider's reply. There is no anger in her tones, nor in her mind as she speaks.

Savith ohs softly. Well, does it? He turns his eyes away from his Recognized, though it doesn't keep her from sensing, "I need you safe, and the gliders need this child. There is no place better." A moment, "I suggest apologize, if Tsoran's attentions grow."

Larias opens her eyes, turning so she can look at Savith, a bit of a frown forming, "Apologize? You think I should apologize to .. to him?"

Savith looks over, shaking his head quickly, "Oh, no! I meant... I should apologize to you." It's been a long day.

Larias's frown fades into her usual lack of expression. She nods once. After a moment, rolling back over to the comfortable position she had found before. "I haven't seen hide nor hair of him in what feels like a few of the moons phases."

Savith lets out a soft sigh, "Well, that's good." His eyes droop slightly, and his right hand, tucked other his other arm, finds a few stray locks of Larias's hair. Mistaking them for either his own locks or something else, he twirls the silvery locks through his fingers. Unspoken communication. He's worried about Larias's safety still.

Larias's eyes begin to close once again, her body beginning to demand that she sleep soon once again. Her voice softly murmuring, "I am as safe here, now, as I am anywhere else Savith. while I carry this child, no one here dares harm me, or repay old debts. That will all come in time." Ah, such a pleasant thought no? One that doesn't particularly bother her anymore either, "Come what may, I will stay."

Savith turns his gaze back to Larias, and watching her start to drift towards sleep. Well, it's now or never, Chosen. He pushes sleep away from the moment and raises, floating Larias up with him, to bring her to his arms. Come what may, huh? Amazing elfess, this one. He turns, and starts toward his bed to tuck her in.

Blue eyes flutter open as she's lifted. Aww man, and here she thought for sure she'd get the comfortable cushions as her bed for the night. Her eyes almost immediately begin to shut again, though one arm drapes loosely about Savith's shoulder to hold on until she is set down, voice murmuring though the haze of sleep, "I'm not a child. I don't need to be carried like one." Not that she resisted it either.

Savith shushes softly, "Just getting practice." His voice is but a soft sleepy whisper, fatigued himself. Floating toward his bed pit, he stops to rest a knee down and set Larias down gently. See? Isn't the bed better than cushions? It's just as soft! Really it is. Setting her down, he whispers softly, "Sleep well, Larias. I'll guard your dreams." And try not peek in on them.

Larias curls onto her side as she us put down, using one of her arms as a pillow. The other absently feels for blankets. Half asleep already, she whispers something unintelligible, then breathing evens out slow and steady, gone to sleep.

Savith starts to float a blanket over but... MOther would always yell at him for sleeping in a new outfit. Aw heck. Withdrawing an arm, Savith floats Larias's hair from the braid and uses it to screen his vision as he floats the dress free.

Larias shivers, though she doesn't wake, her hand still reaching for that blanket. In any other room in the Mountain, she'd wake no doubt, but here, its safe. Its where she can sleep easiest - even if Savith strips her down a she snoozes :p

Savith sets the dress aside, and floats the blanket over to cover her.As the blanket covers, he pulls her hair free. Only once she's fully covered does he pause to rebraid, knowing the headache she'll give him for the dress and not wanting to add a mass of tangled hair to it. Chores done, he pauses, panting softly. A full day of hunting and flying and working, and then having to be so careful and precise.

Ahh, there's that blanket! Larias snuggles into the fabric, though, as she enters into a deeper sleep, she rolls onto her back where she'll stay for the rest of the night. The blanket pulled tight under her chin, ahh, this is the life. *snoore*

As he hears Larias drop into a deep slumber, Savith smiles and folds the dress to set on the foot of the bed before dragging himself out of the bed area and closing the curtains for her to drag himself to the cushions, where he passed out himself.

Brotherly Chat

Logfile from TwoMoons - Savith.

Main Hall

The room rises up round, walls idle in their shape, with little regard to gravity, and fluid stone columns drip from the ceiling to floor, curving and twisting into deep blue shadows. The massive room is dim, lit only at the far side, where rises the skeleton of a great bird, hovering protectively over the throne of Blue Mountain's Lord. Deep, wide stairs rise up to greet the throne, stopping many feet below, leaving no evident manner of ascending the seat. From time to time, elves flit in and out, through hallways and through narrow, ribboned holes in the walls, high above the floor.

Savith floats in to take his place by the throne. He's turn on guard duty, it seems. -sigh-

Tsoran is hovering there already, and nods to his relief. ** Savith **

Savith nods in reply, **Tsoran.** A little preoccupied, his mind is as he floats to his place.

Tsoran lingers a while. It's not as if he has any urgent appointments.

Tsoran locksends ** You look thoughtful today. **

Savith flicks a glance, and a send to Tsoran.

You locksend ** Concerned. Is there a difference? ** to Tsoran.

Tsoran raises an eyebrow. ** Do you have reason to be, brother? All seems quiet. ** He adjust a sleeve minutely.

Savith nods to Tsoran, his gaze drifting away again. But he does not elaborate on it.

Tsoran's thin lips curl faintly. ** Come now, you can tell me. Perhaps I can ease your mind. **

**I dare say you can not, brother,** Savith replies, turning green eyes back to Tsoran. No accusation, though heavy they are.

Tsoran drifts closer, never one to resist a challenge. ** How certain you sound. How is your bond? **

Savith quirks a faint brow, **A little over fed, but healthy.**

Tsoran touches a pale finger to his lips. ** I do not think you ever told me the whole story of how it was retrieved. **

**I know I did not,** Savith replies, his gaze surveying the Hall. Silence. Sweet silence.

Tsoran regards Savith thoughtfully. ** You seem quite recovered from your little encounter with the rock. ** He reaches out with exquisite care to tug at a curl that seems to have escaped Savith's bun. ** And getting wilder by the day. **

Savith pulls his head away slightly. **Do you expect me to report my acitivities fully to you, brother, as if you were my Lord?**

You sense in a locksend, Tsoran's send is warm and softly. Positively velvet. ** The Eight are as one, Savith. We all serve the will of our Lord, as it it were our own. How can we be of one will when we are not of one mind? **

You locksend to Tsoran, Savith snorts softly, wary of you, more than he had been inthe past, **I doubt anyone of you would wish to know the ups and downs of Larias's emotions.**

Tsoran rests his hand on Savith's shoulder, ignoring the others attempt to pull away. ** Outsiders are all overly emotional. Has she returned, then ? **

Savith's face hardens to stone as he fixes a stare at Tsoran, **She has, and you /will/ treat her with her respect and accord.** Cause if not, he'll know about it, ina heartbeat.

Tsoran's even teeth show briefly in a smile. Must be a smile, the corners of his lips are turned upwards. ** Will I, now. And what will she do to earn my regard in this manner...brother?**

Savith seems a touch unnerved by Tsoran's smile, but replies, **She has already told me she will remain on her best behavior, knowing that the mountain is her home until the child is grown, at the very least.**

Well, well. You learn something new every day. ** I am surprised the Underworld let her go. Or did they fear the taint of outsider blood? **

Savith shurgs, only margnally successful at fighting the sneer at the mention of hte underworld, **I know not the condition of her return aside from her desire to see Winddance returned to me.** It's stupid, a silly excuse, he knows, but seems to be accepting it for now.

Tsoran murmurs softly. "How kind of her, to have such concern for you. I must surely thank her."

Savith narrows his eyes slightly, "Of course." Over my dead body.

Tsoran catches a stray emotion. *snatch*. His grey eyes are lidded as he watches Savith. ** I do wonder where your true loyalty lies, at times. **

Savith lifts his chin and calms again, **You've no need to wonder, brother.**

Tsoran reaches out to gently stroke Savith's cheek with the back of his fingers. ** A not entirely reassuring answer, my brother. But I will not pressure you further on the matter. Today. **

Savith remains still, almost glaring back at Tsoran. A reaction born of fear, perhaps, for he knows now, exactly what Tsoran did to Larias. Though the nightmares no longer plague her (thank the High Ones!), the memories linger, and haunt him when, in a quiet memoment, she recalls them. **.........**

Tsoran's smile widens. ** I do believe it is my time for rest. Safe guarding....Brother. ** He floats away.

Savith nods, and replies to Tsoran's retreating back, **Pleasant dreams.** He sneers faintly, the expression quickly schooled.

Tsoran knows exactly how to give Savith pleasant dreams, ohyes, he does. Now, where can that outsider be...

Tsoran glides up into the air.

Discussing Recognition

Logfile from TwoMoons - Savith.

Mountainside Garden(#6861RJ)

Obvious exits:

Savith has asked Larias to cover her eyes to lead her to this garden, knowing she wants to be out and about, and doing his best to find any excuse to see it happen. Not, of course, cause he really wants to see her smile or anything, but because a happy mommy means a healthy child, and that's the only important, right?

Though she detested the idea of being led about, Larias eventually, after much prodding, acceded and went along, her eyes tightly shut as requested. A smile did form on her lips as soon as the outdoor air brushed against her, much more compliant to being led wherever it was Savith was bringing her.

Savith drops slowly toward the humans' garden they keep for the spirts they worship. He scouted it out earlier, and found no one about. Landing, he settles Larias down, and then speaks, "Okay. Open."

Like a good glider, Larias does as she is commanded by one of the Chosen. She gasps softly as she looks about, her feet firmly planted on the ground. Inhaling deeply, she manages a smile as the scent of growing things washes over her. "Oh Savith..." she can't even finish speaking, instead, she just has to breathe deeply again, ahh, outside, its truly a wonder isn't it?

Savith was going to not smile, really he was, but Larias's joy floods toward him, forcing a grin. He turns from her to peer over the edge toward the village, to give him his scowl. Ahh.. there. But when he glances back at Larias, he feels her joy again. Oh, this is hard to deal with.

Larias, gasp, is actually leaving foot prints in the snow, where as most gliders wouldn't land in the nasty stuff. However, she doesn't hardly notice, instead she moves to the edges of the garden where the evergreens rise. She plucks one of the needles, inhaling deeply from the broken piece. After a moment, she turns to Savith, "I know, they can be smelle din the Mountain as well.. but, ther isn't anything like their fresh scent." But, he doesn't feel the same way does he? She sighs, flicking the broken needle away.

Oh, he does, but just trying hard to not admit it. At her sigh, Savith says, "ENjoy yourself out here, Larias. If you like the scent, get your fill today."

Larias does something bizarre and completely undoes her braid. If she has to get her fill, then by goly, thats exactly what she's going to do. She caresses needles on the pine once more before returning to the snow covered garden of the Humans. She bends down and scoops up a handful of snow, epsite the chill it brings her hand. Memories spring to the surface, but, just as quickly as she drops the snow back to the ground, they fade back down again, where they're safely tucked away for the moment. Without looking at Savith, she inquires, "I won't be allowed out at all when I start to show, will I?"

Savith just watches Larias, as he once did the wolfrider mothers he lived with. "That has yet to be seen," he replies calmly, doing his best to stay from her mind and emotions without blocking himself away, knowing just what that would cause.

"I'm not sure where the order will come from, either you or Her.. But I am sure, the closer I get, the more likely I won't be seeing the skies or the ground from anywhere but the Aerie." Larias then bends down to pick up one of the abandoned tools of the humans, curious about its construction. As she bends though, she lets out a squeak, not so quickly standing straight up.

Savith gasps and rockets toward her, worried. "What? What happened?" He's doing his best to NOT call Her to check on this aches and pains and so forth.

Larias has her hand on her stomach, her face looking a pale green. "The child," she swallows down some of the nausea, "Hasn't kicked like that before." A dry humorless chuckle, "I suppose he didn't like having his room cramped?"

Savith forcibly refrains from setting a steadying hand on Larias's back, "No, it would seem not. Perhaps you should just float it to your hand from now on, hmm?" His eyes speak volumes, if she dare look or even glance. Worry.

NO, she doesn't dare look. Instead, her eyes are down on the ground, eyeing the primitive hoe. Her gaze is unblinking, and as small beads of perspiration form on her brow (despite the cold), and slowly, the tool rise sup into her grasp. Larias pants somewhat heavily, "It.. is easier said than done it would seem."

Savith smirks and glances over. With almost casual ease, the Chosen, havingmuch more practice at this, summons a rock to his hand. "Practice," he states, then drops the rock, "I dare say you may need it, it the child fies as I fully expect it to."

Larias arches a brow, "Practise?" smirking she continues, "Savith, I should be able to lift myself and 2 others with nothing but a quick glance and the thought. This," she holds up the how, "Isn't so heavy it should cause strain."

Savith tilts his head, looking a touch confused, "Then?"

Larias lets out a frustrated breath, "How should I know? I've not done this before." She heaves the hoe off further into the garden, irritated by her lack of understanding,.

Savith folds his hands over his chest, "Don't get frustrated. Just do it. You'll need the skill." He's certain.

Larias looks at Savith flatly, "How many times have I had my bag simply float behind me. I don't need the skill, its one I already possess." If thats the case, why isn't she lifting anything?

Savith frowns and studies Larias, both with eyes and without. He senses. What /is/ the problem. She's healthy. Filling out as she should. He hasn't ever seen her so robust.

She doe sappear quite healthy doesn't she. A healthy look to her face, features filled out in a way they haven't been in eons, even her color, despite being cooped up in the Mountain, is a healthy shade. Her emotions though, are a turmoil as usual, frustration and anger, at nothing but herself. Irritation, why can't she lift a stupid stick anyway? Larias places a hand to her head, closing her eyes, "Maybe.. I should sit or something..."

Savith nods and watches to make sure she doesn't faint or anything. A though drifts from him, unbidden, **The child...?**

Finds a place she can sit, brushing some of the snow from the ground, lowering herself. Yup, things certainly must be wacky if she's sitting in the snow rather than the air. A hand goe sto her stomach at the question, though she doesn't really need it to tell her, "I think the child is what.. WildSTorm? would have called fussy."

A look of.... something flashes across his face. Hidden underneath is the memory of leaving Wildstorm to her death. "It was Clearlight," he states softly, then crouches by Larias's side. "What do you feel?"

Larias gives Savith an apologetic look, she hadn't thought of the memories which names might bring up. A shrug then, "The child... the child is flitting about my insides like," she can't help but grin, "A mad man, or mad woman.. whichever." Another pause before she continues, "Just feels, makes me feel, heavy."

Savith nods. He's not altogether certain if that's a good thing, but if she's grinning.... He inhales and glances about the garden a moment, forcing those hated memories back into their Cage.

After she's taken the weight off her feet, Larias moves to stand, once again, seeming quite able to float. She shakes her head, puzzled, but her stomach is no longer dancing either, and so she relaxes. Her eyes trail over towards Savith, "I.. didn't mean to stir up unpleasant thoughts."

Savith steadies his gaze on Larias. The green dances about a moment, troubled, before he replies. "I hadn't realized the touch of another soul would bring those memories to my mind again." He pauses then turns his gaze away, "I will try harder to keep them from you."

Larias gliding easily once more, she approaches Savith, her voice about as soft and tender as one could ever hope to get from Larias, "You've shared my memories with me.. I can share yours with you. Perhaps it will make them easier to bear?"

Savith blinks once. A brief moment, he seems to check for any prying minds, then drops to locksend.

You locksend ** What shall I share,** he begins, **from the begining? I had just been Chosen. Eager to prove, She sent me out.** There's the sense that he knew, it was a fool's errand, meant to get him killed. Everyone knew it too. Yet he took it, ever willing to prove himself, that guilt of what he is not plaguing him more then than now, though it is still present. (more) ** to Larias.

You locksend to Larias, Savith shares the emotions involved. **It was whitecold, as now. I found myself in a wood, none too friendly.** From nowhere, the spear that downed him. He didn't even hear. Didn't see. It's an old wound. Long healed. The spear's owner, Clearlight, sprung from the bush, and grabs him roughly, to snarl and insist she know his purpose. But, as eyes met eyes...

You locksend to Larias, Savith's mind ripples the memory. The first time. So much like the last. He shares the full strength of it, holding back only the wolfrider's soulname, though the fericity of her, the wild, can not be denied. **Wildstorm's mother.** The hair tells it. She has her mother's hair. Savith was distraught! Injured, by a wolfrider. And now, forced to mate, with a wolfrider! Clearlight howled for her tribe, sending fast and hard for the healer, and Savith sat in shock.

Larias hovers close by, her eyes closed, full attention given the sent story from her Recognized. No trace of emotion though plays on her face, she's been learning how to school her features once again - its a necessity if one plans on surviving in the Mountain.

You locksend ** I was healed,** he states coldly. Moving forward past the joining, as if it leaves a sour taste in his mouth. **It was gathering berries for Clearlight, she was heavy, halfway toward dropping when...** Softdream enters his mind. A soft, quiet wolfrider, delicate. She, out of the tribe, was trying to give the unbalanced glider the sense of belonging. They reached for the same fruit, at the same time, and again... eyes met eyes. Savith's world was again, torn apart. **Twice, inside a turn.** ** to Larias.

The surprise she feels is easily registered through the connection. Larias had known that Savith had Recognized twice before, but, while one mate was still with cub? ** I didn't know such a thing was possible. **

Savith nods but continues. There is more.

You locksend to Larias, Savith shows the agony. The waiting. The jests. Souldancer. The tribe, in hate, named him that. Than a glider could do what none of them could not. Even Softdream changed, sensing his wariness, sensing his... disguist. Why did he stay? He hoped for a glider. If even one of the two could float, he'd claim the child, and return to the mountain, another glider to be raised as Chosen, to fill the ranks.

Larias's hand moves to her stomach, this child, no doubt it will be a glider in her mind. How could it be anything but? Its parents, likely two of the swiftest i the tribe. You have to be swift, if your to be Chosen.

You locksend ** But it was not to be.** As the children grow in his eyes, neither have gifts, and he himself not so at detecting them as His Lord is. **I had been gone too long. I had to return.** He leaves. Larias's thought intrudes lightly, and another memory seems to intertrude from elsewhere... one that haunts his soul: (**He will fly fast, and he will fly hard, for a glider he is. But I feel no touch of your gift within him.**) Savith shudders from it, and continues with his story. **THey followed.** THose stupid cubs! It was a game to them. And he played with them, leading them on foot for seasons, twisting this way and that, getting them lost. Ever he watched for the gift of flight. And nothing. Finally, disguisted with himself, and sensing His Lord's ire, he flew off, ending his trail, and leaving two cubs, helples, hopeless, alone, in a wood they did not know, and out of sending and howling range from home. **ANd there I left them to perish.** Happy now. That is the pain he feels, the reason he WOULD /not/ allow you from his sight, the reason THIS child will have a mother, its mother, and a father, its father. ** to Larias.

Larias reaches out to touch his Shoulder, her hand halting mid-air before it actually makes contact. How many elves, while she watched over tribes, did she let die, so she could stay hidden from them. Were they her children? Of course not, but though they were beastial, a part of her knew they were elfin kin. Her head turns, stealing a glance away, ahh yes, the garden, built by human hands. "Perhaps... that is one of the reasons I returned early."

Savith opens his eyes, spotting the hand near him. As she recoils, he turns vulnerable eyes to her. "And I'mglad for it, though it was not apart of the trade you made. There was no reason for you do to it."

No reason? Her mind wanders, why did she come back? She was so desperate to be away fom the Mountain, to keep her child away from Winnowill's grasp that she discussed giving up the babe with Savah, Rhentagoth, and Djhala. The thoughts are there, but so is the notion it was something she couldn't do. And Savith, trappe din the Mountain without his bond, how could she do that to him? Yes he offered the bird to leave, that was when she was in danger, not for her to flee after joining. Her eyes remain fastened to the hoe she threw earlier, her voice barely a murmur, "I had my reasons."

"I see," is Savith's stony reply. He too looks at the hoe, then turns to move to the edge. "Inform me when you've had enough fresh air." So vulnerable and open, it takes time to close off again, especially, from so deep a bond as they both share. Now that the bridge is built, his soul and heart feeling bolstered by the lack of loneliness, which is a whole OTHER story, it's hard to set the brdige a light.

Larias closes her eyes a moment, once more breathing deeply, filling her lungs with the precious sweet, though cold, air of the Outside. Once her eyes open, their normally pale blue is stormy, nearly grey. "I.. think I should go back inside." The desire to stay outside mounting, before he can erspond, slowly, ever so slowly, she lifts into the air, beginning a slow journey back into the Aerie.

Savith follows after, moving to keep the distance between them. Memories are so fresh and so raw. He's fighting less tokeep them from her, but mor eto keep them from himself. 'Hope you're happy, Larias,' he thinks, 'I'm miserable.'

Mid-flight, as she pick sup on that thought, Larias halts, frowning, "Happy? No.. I'm not." His memories and hers, fresh in her mind, the desire to be Outside forever strong, but knowing she dare not try and flee this time. Freedom only lies within the Mountain, working around its rules somehow. "I'm about as happy as you are right now."

Savith stops at eyelevel to Larias. He narrows his eyes and finally just points, "Get inside." GAH! ANd out of my head, woman! Honestly!
